Touch of Light is one of the Detroit area’s oldest glass blowing studios, established in 1984.  We’re located in Ferndale, along world-famous Woodward Avenue. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday. 

Touch of Light showcases the work of John Fitzpatrick, who studied and worked in Denmark and Sweden, including at Orrefors and Kosta Boda. His contemporary and decorative handblown art glass includes vases, bowls, perfume bottles, lamps, paperweights, suncatchers and ornaments, all in an array of colors and designs. 

Handcrafted glass makes a great gift for an anniversary, wedding, birthday, graduation, retirement or housewarming, as awards, corporate gifts, for a special occasion or holiday, or just as a thank you. 

We also offer glass blowing classes, scheduled throughout the year, open to beginners as well as experienced glassblowers. Besides eight-week sessions, our one-session introductory class provides an easy and fun insight into a creative craft.
